🥊 “Kimtaka’s Passion Poured into Ryukyu Yakiniku”
In his prime, Takaaki Kimura—affectionately known as “Kimutaka”—was hailed as the “Legend of Korakuen Hall”, claiming the title of the first-ever J-NETWORK Super Featherweight Champion in kickboxing.
After retiring from professional fighting, he attended Hanno Nursing School and obtained his Registered Nurse license after 4 years of rigorous training.
Even now, he occasionally works at Hanno Orthopedic Hospital, managed by the Taiichikai Medical Corporation, so if you’re lucky, you might just bump into him! 😄
In addition to his achievements in the medical field, Kimtaka operates kickboxing gyms in Hanno’s Ginza Shopping Street and Chichibu City, promoting community health through evidence-based fitness programs.
However, throughout his journey, one unshakable desire remained in his heart:
“I want to support health not only through exercise but also through food.”
With family ties to Okinawa and a deep love for its vibrant food culture, Kimtaka was determined to bring authentic and healthy Okinawan ingredients to the local community.
This dream became a reality with the birth of 【Ryukyu Yakiniku Izakaya Champion Hannoen】.
Inspired by his own experience of moving to Tokyo from Sapporo at 18, he realized the irreplaceable warmth of family gatherings and hopes to recreate that same warmth for his customers in this space.
